ÌìÌÃÄñÏÈÉú Southern doesn't simply offer courses and deliver degrees. It offers a sense of belonging while fostering growth and learning for students and community members alike. Community Education Workshops

ÌìÌÃÄñÏÈÉú Southern’s Community Education Workshops offer fun, hands-on classes open to the general public regardless of educational backgrounds. These non-credit workshops are held year-round and cover a wide range of creative and practical topics — from outdoor adventure to local Underground Railroad history. Affordable and accessible, the workshops foster personal enrichment and community engagement.

EMPixx Awards

The student EMPixx Awards for area high schools recognizes excellence in the creation of video, audio and multimedia projects. There is no charge for submission of materials, and no limit on the number of submissions from each school.

  • Non-Degree & Workforce Success


    Non-degree status allows you to take a limited number of courses without admission to a formal academic program. Explore options such as real estate pre-licensure courses and legal studies, complete online courses to meet required CEUs, or learn a new subject through noncredit courses.

  • Community Mental Health Awareness Conference


    The annual Community Mental Health Awareness Conference aims to initiate a wider conversation about mental and behavioral health in our communities. Join us to improve understanding about current local and national trends in mental health, examine strategies for promoting positive mental health and collaborate and create change in our community

  • Envision Access Conference


    The Virtual Envision Access Conference is an opportunity for members of the Tri-State to increase awareness and understanding of trends in addressing the needs of students with disabilities.

Bobcat Academy

Bobcat Academy is an annual summer enrichment program for students in grades K–6. It offeresfun, hands-on learning in science, art, music, and more. Taught by enthusiastic educators and professionals, the program encourages creativity and exploration in a supportive setting. Classes are affordable, and options are available for full-day participation with a supervised lunch.
